The Instituto Nacional de Saúde (INS) of Mozambique part of the Pathogen Genomics (PanGen) consortium hosted a Bioinformatics training between 02nd – 11thApril 2024. This training was part of the activities for implementing Pathogen Genomics in Mozambique. The 07-days training held by the Research Centre of Borstel (RCB), Germany focused on Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (Mtbc) genomic data analysis using SeqSphere. Such in country capacity building and skills transfer are vital because it will strengthen current Mtbc surveillance resistance programs and help better understand the disease dynamics in real time without relying in analysis being done outside the country.
